Playmetrics has a highly flexible team assignment mechanism, which allows an administrator to assign registered players across programs and divisions. LYS makes use of this flexibility to place developmental players on rec teams. The flexibility is not without some complexity.
"Team assignments" exist within a program, to allocate players. The LYS admin associates teams and players with a "Team Assignment", and then uses the assignment to place players onto teams.
The process for finding late registrations and adding them to existing team assignments:
- edit the team assignment for the program
- select players that need to be part of the team assignment
- add players to the team assignments
- edit the assignments
- place players onto teams (in our case, teams are the division academies) *
- notify players that they have been placed on an academy/team
After that, coaches can modify their player pools to assign players to specific 'pool teams' within the academy. See PlayMetricsRosterAdjustment
