Use cones to make a 3x3 grid if you don't have hoops. Have the kids dribble a ball and stop it in the grid where they want to play their pinnie. Pass the ball back to let the next player start.
limit to 3 pinnies as in the video.
PROBLEMS:
- this game is not cooperative. one side will lose. they really want to win and may get upset.
- it may be good to limit teams to 3 runners, and set up more grids.
- kids will be all over the map with their abilities. You can try to make the teams fair, but the slower players may feel bad.
- kids will try to cheat.
- a frustrated kid may refuse to try, which will make teammates angry
The problems with this game are problems that we have with soccer itself. You may have social challenges to overcome due to the competitive nature of the game. It helps to train kids to win and lose, but there may be other games that develop skills without the intense competition.
