Mark of a rectangular playing area and select players that are "it". The size of the playing area and the number of "it" kids should be adjusted if: Every kid that is not "it" has a ball. Chasers attempt to get a ball or force a dribbler out of the area. A player that loses the ball or leaves the area is frozen, and stands with the ball in their hands. A frozen player may be freed when another dribbler passes the ball through their legs. Coaching points: * this game is successful if it gets kids to * enjoy the feeling of running hard * move with the ball '''away from the tackler''' to maintain possession * Kids that are "it" need to work together * tackle kids as a team * tackle kids in one general area, so one "it" player can defend against them being unfrozen Modifications: * Game never ends: add more "it" kids, or have coaches join in the chase * Kids hide instead of dribble to escape: make the field smaller * work on a specific skill by making kids execute it to free a player, eg: * send the ball through the legs with the non-dominant foot (twice, once in each direction) * back-drag the ball through the legs, practicing a particular nutmeg move
